May is stroke awareness month. Stroke is the third leading cause of death in the United States with over 700,000 Americans experiencing a stroke each year. Stroke is one of the leading causes of adult disability with more than 1.1 million people impaired nationwide. Knowing your risk and controlling what you can is the best defense against having a stroke.
This discussion will teach you preventative measures, how to recognize the signs of a stroke and emergency treatments. Don’t miss this class that could one day save your life or the life of a loved one.
